06/23/2021Cape Cod is a 100km long peninsula off the Atlantic coast of the United States off the coast of Massachusetts. Its shape of an arm in a muque position creates the large Cape Cod Bay and more than 60km of beach on the part facing the Atlantic. In this area is located the Cape Cod National Seashore, a coastal conservation area that is home to a multitude of marine, terrestrial, freshwater and estuary ecosystems.
Its geological origin also dates from the glacial period. The cable was formed by the accumulation of material brought by the glaciers. With the retraction of the glaciers, blocks of ice became entangled amidst the rubble of rocks, earth and sand, forming today's freshwater lakes.
